You Must Die!!! Cassanova!

Your favourite time of the year is here
When there is plenty of sun and rain

You will never fail to visit
To show your affection again
That has never quite ended anywhere near
"Happily Ever After"

For so many years
I did what I could
To prevent your admission
But you have grown cleverer
You penetrated through all my walls of prevention

You come and go
Like a Casanova would
But never did you expect
I wish you were dead

For nights you came to me
Like a clingy ghost I never wish to see
For days you zoom pass me
The annoyance I wish could cease

For 3 days
You left 13 marks on my right
8 on my left

I swept you away
But you didn't get the hint
I hit you hard
And you thought I was playing

Yesterday
I had enough of your nonsense
I laid a trap
And you fell for it

Innocently you came
I closed the door behind for privacy
You couldn't wait
And kissed me deeply thrice

I was ready to return you your WELL DESERVED TREAT

You didn't like my plan
You ran away from me
You tried at every corner of my bathroom

Your memory failed you
I had locked the door behind me
You were doped by your desire for me
You didn't even notice that the windows were shut too
There was no escape this time

You died under my Yi-Zhi-Shen-Gong
The ever famous One-Finger-Power Kung Fu from Shaolin

YOU!
The revengeful soul
The undying spirit
I knew you would send your father
To avenge your death

Yes!
He was angry
He was smarter
He could read my mind better
No trap could lure him

The experienced one was out to get me
But the old man's luck ran out
Plunged 5 attacks on me
And that was all he has got

For the next moment he was buried in my blood just like you were.

Rest in Peace
You father and son
But I know the battle has just begun

With supernatural powers
You will inform your family
Your relatives
Your friends
To avenge for your deaths

I just saw one flew across my monitor
As I type this long tribute to you two
The game is on
I'm ready

For MY FAMILY
I will fight
And slap everyone whom you send
to end in your same plight

Trying My luck....

Good News are rolling in like marbles, smooth and fast.
But I am greedy, I wish it could be even faster and the Marbles can grow in size. *laugh*
Nah... seriously, I am thankful for lots of things that has been happening to me over the past 2 weeks, or rather ever since I posted that SOS post, people, events, God's planning...
Thank You....

This week, my schedule was to list on ebay my handmade accessories parts, like some of these...

I could only snap and list on ebay after my boys are asleep. Sometimes when the momentum picks up, I just can't stop till wee hours in the Morning, almost 3am; and I'm suppose to wake at 7am to bring my boys to school. THIS is my new routine for the past 2 weeks. You can imagine my eye bag and the darkness of my eye rings. *laugh*

I think the heavens have their eyes on me, they saw the effort and sincerity I have been putting in, in making this 1+ month a little easier to pass....Yes orders are coming in... Thank you... keep it rolling in please...

For parts like the above, I bought by the thousands or even millions for some of them. My jewelleries are handmade by Allan and I then, so these are MUST-HAVE.

Never did I expect myself to stop my retail biz and now clearing them on ebay. So now I have a huge problem!!!!!

I don't sell them in a single piece. I sell them in packs of whatever number for S$1.00 per pack. It is really tedious to count them manually, especially when the orders come in HUNDREDs of pieces. I was cock-eye by the time I'm done with an order.

For wholesalers, the RIGHT WAY to do it is to weigh one unit then multiple by the number and start pouring on the machine till it hits the correct weight.

We had intention to buy that machine almost 6 years ago. We found it in Thailand, but it was above our budget, S$300+. Singapore is worse S$500+.

Non of my ex-retail friends have the machine, so here I am trying my luck.... do you have a jewellery mini electronic weighing scale I could BORROW? (Like the picture shown on the left)

Or else, Angeline will be known as 'Cock-eye Angeline' by the time she cleared her whole storeroom of these items.... *laugh*

*Click here to see my list of stuff on ebay (growing by the day)

Adam Lambert is what American Idol is all about!

When Adam appeared on my TV screen just now, I GASPED!!
He was dashingly handsomely cool!!!!!
I thought I saw Elvis Presley!!! *laugh*
OMG!!!!

And when he showed his softer side with "The Tracks of My Tears", I was completely head over heels!!!!

From the moment he appeared till he went off the screen, I felt like I had held my breath throughout those minutes. Ok, I may have over-reacted, but you have to agree that HE IS THE EXCITEMENT OF AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 8.

I love him sooooo much tonight, I must have him on my blog! *laugh* Enjoy!

The Phantom of the Opera

*Yippee*

I have seen the musical when I was 15.

Being poor, I could never afford the tickets. My wish came true back then when a church member gave me a free ticket to the fantastic performance. I will never forget her name - Karen. *smile* Thank you once again, if I hadn't said enough then.

But when the movie came on years ago, I didn't manage to catch it.

Yesterday it was on my television screen! *clap clap clap* Better late than never.

Yes, it was nice and a little comical in the beginning but as compared to seeing the musical, nah.... miles apart.....

Still it was the masterpieces of Andrew Lloyd Webber that touched my heart. Songs that you just won't get sick of, ooops I mean 'I' won't get sick of.

The Music of the Night
The Phantom of the Opera
Angel of Music
Think of Me
Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again
All I Ask of You
Masquerade
The Point of No Return

These are playing on my Media Player right now as I type this post.... Love them!

American Idol Top 10 Season 8

I was looking back at my post weeks ago, on my favorites among the 36 finalists chosen. *pout* Not many are left especially after Alexis Grace's departure on last Thursday with the lowest number of fans vote among more than 31 million cast this week.

And so the TOP 10 for Season 8, going on the summer tour are:
Adam Lambert, Anoop Desai, Danny Gokey, Kris Allen, Lil Rounds, Matt Giraud, Megan Joy, Scott MacIntyre, Michael Sarver and Allison Iraheta.

Though Simon said that the judges did consider saving Alexis, in my heart, I doubted.

Personally I felt that for this season, they will use their onetime per season save-vetos only for these 4 people:
Adam Lambert,
Danny Gokey,
Lil Rounds, and
Matt Giraud

Ok, back to my 10 favorite contestant weeks ago when the 36 finalists were announced, they were:-
Alexis Grace
Michael Sarver
Danny Gokey
Adam Lambert
Alex Wagner Trugman
Jackie Tohn
Jasmine Murray
Kai Kalama
Matt Breitzke
Scott Macintyre

*sigh* so many have gone... leaving the BOLDed ones....
yet, after watching the results on last Thursday, I think Michael will be leaving soon too...
Let's see how's his fate after tomorrow's performance.... *fingers crossed*
*Michael must really stop the microphone-changing-hands-thingy... pretty distracting.

By the way, do you know why has the telecast time delay for a day this week? Is it the same over in US or is it a 'Singapore-receiving-good-stuff-slower' thing?

Amazing Tiny Tablets

Ok, this should have been posted looooooooooooooooong ago.

Remember how terrible my throat was after the superb meal at Jumbo Seafood Restaurant PLUS the terrible air I had been breathing in and STILL BREATHING IN!!! The 'Teerrrrggggrrrrrrr....' and 'Grrrrgggrrrrrr....' and 'Chiiinnnnggggg.....' and 'Dongggggggrrrrrrr...' have reduced, so its not as dusty as before, but the noise pollution is still there. Ok, I'm hanging in there, another week to go...

Ok, back to my throat. It didn't get well even after I have completed my course of antibiotics. I was really worried. Never had my throat been that bad, since my sinus infection which landed me in the operating theatre when I was 16.

My MIL was disappointed on that Sunday when she knew about my throat. 'Cos she had prepared my favourite dishes, spicy crayfish and chili crab; yet I couldn't even take a bite at them.

So no yummies for me that Sunday, 8th March. Instead, she took this out and commanded, "Pop down 18 tablets."

Very carefully, she poured them out and counted. By the way, though my MIL is already 60+, she has perfect eyesight. Or rather after this demonstration, I must say she has microscopic eyesight! *laugh*

And so I did as I was ordered to or else I'll be missing another round of yummies the following Sunday. Nope, not going to take that kind of risk. *laugh*

She suspected that I might be having ulcers. Allan shone the torchlight in while I said "Aahhhh.." Lo and Behold, did she have X-ray eyes too? I Did! Not one but TWO! I had 2 ulcers on the right side of my throat.

Another decree was made that instant, "Go gurgle with salt water every other hour and Take this home!" Stuffing two bottles of those tiny tablets into my hand. "Down all 20 tablets this time, instead of 18."

And so I took the babies home.
Did it work?
You Bet!
I was well the NEXT MORNING!!!!

Amazing isn't it?
These tablets were from Shanghai. All 3 sons of hers grew up eating this whenever they are sick.

The usual dosage is 10, meaning a bottle, for an adult. For me, 18 + 20 =38! Can you see how heaty I was?! *faint*

Watched = Possibility

Ok, I had mentioned before that (normally) when an item is 'Watched' on ebay, it might eventually be sold. Hmmmm....

Being watched = possibility of being sold, BUT its not GUARANTEED. *pout*

The previous item that was watched was NOT sold. *head down*
When I saw that the item was being watched, my eyes widened and lungs expanded.
Then when the bidding duration ended with no buyers, my face turned grey and heart sank.

This week, 4 items are being watched.
My brown eyes widened and small lungs expanded AGAIN.
These are the 4:

(AA-237)
925 Sterling Silver ring with (Pink) Mother of Pearl
One piece only.
size: 7.5 (US size) / 17 (asia size)

(NA-481)

The top 2 items' bidding period are ending in 1 day while the bottom 2 items are ending in 3 days time.

(RG-0136)
925 Sterling Silver ring with Ornix
2 Pieces available
The bid price is for ONE piece

Size: 6.5 (US size) / 13 (asia size)

(RG-154)
925 Sterling Silver ring with Ornix
One piece only.

You can see the whole list of stuff I'm clearing over here.

*Phew* School Holidays are finally over. I can get back to snap snap snap and post post post on my ebay again. Didn't get a chance to post anything over the last 9 days. Must put more batteries into this little bunny to get her to move faster now. *Grin*

Song Sharing Sunday Badge

Every Song reminds me of a person, an event, a place, a smell, a taste....a secret, do you have a song to share today?

Growing up in a multi-lingual country allows me to be exposed to all sorts of music. Since it was compulsory for all to learn at least 2 languages since young, mine was English and Mandarin. This week I'm sharing a Mandarin song which brought many tears when 2nd bf found a new love. Mandarin songs will not be a common choice for my Song Sharing Sunday meme. So, for those of you who don't understand a word, nah.... don't worry, this will only come once in a looooooooong while. *wink*

Singlish

Allan was brought up in a family that speaks not a word in English.
I was brought up in a family that speaks only in English.
*laugh*
But both families have one thing in common ~ Cantonese. *phew*

So Allan and I speak Cantonese, Mandarin, English and mostly in Singlish.

For my dear friends from other countries, Singlish is an English-based creole spoken and written colloquially in Singapore. Although English is the lexifier language, Singlish has its unique slang and syntax, which are more pronounced in informal speech.

Singlish is NEVER allowed to be written in Schools here but its so widely spoken by EVERY SINGLE SINGAPOREAN each day.

Singlish is a combination of all sorts of languages. Credit it to the multi-lingual country we are in.

The vocabulary of Singlish consists of words originating from English, Malay (mainly Bahasa Melayu rather than Indonesian), Hokkien, Teochew, Cantonese, Tamil, Bengali, Punjabi and to a lesser extent various other European, Indic and Sinitic languages, while Singlish syntax resembles southern varieties of Chinese. Also, elements of American and Australian slang have come through from imported television series. Recently, due to the fact that Mandarin is taught to most Singaporean Chinese students in school, Mandarin words have also found their way into Singlish.

Singlish is closely related to Manglish of neighboring Malaysia. Are you seeing stars already?!

Singlish is NOT a language you can master, 'cos its ever changing, its a language you HAVE TO GROW UP with.

Singlish sentences like these are pretty common:

"Dun anyhow touch here touch there leh." (Please don't mess with my things.)

"He kena scold/scolded." (He was scolded.)

"He never go school one." - He doesn't go to school (unlike other people).

"Okay lah." – (It's all right. Don't worry about it.)

"You never give me wat!" – You were the one who didn't give it to me(Or else I would have gotten it, right?)!

"This one also can work one mah!"Can't you see that this choice will also work?!

"If you don't do the work, then you die lor!"If you don't do the work, then you're dead!

"But I believe safe better than sorry leh." – The thing is, I believe it's better to be safe than sorry.

"Oh yah horh!" - Oh, yes! (realising something)

"How come lidat one, arh?"Why is it like that? / Why are you like that?

"Really meh?" – Is that really so? (I honestly thought otherwise.)

"Wahlau, heng siah."Goodness me (=Wahlau)! That was a close shave (=heng)!

Its so hard to write in 'Correct' English on your school workbook when in speech this is what we say! In the end, we get points deducted in examinations... *sigh*

The power of Singlish is so strong, its easy to pick up and stay rooted 'cos of its tone and its unlimited variation possibilities.

Though unknowingly, I had this amazing language in me, I must admit that I'm not proud of it. I'm proud of Singapore's countless achievements internationally but this language.... hmmm... I'm not. I'm sorry....

Keep me On the Floor

*Screeeammmm*
Ok, I've got to stay calm.
Stay calm.
Breathe...breathe....

I've been praying for this and yet when my prayers came true, I can't accept it.
I must be out of my mind!

Remember I mentioned that Allan had another case on the bubble?
The bubble has turned into an un-burst-able metal ball!!!
Yippee!!

The completion will be in early May, before his birthday.
What a great birthday gift!!!
I was so afraid that he would be celebrating his birthday in stress and discomfort, but now *Shoo-shoo* those worries are out of the window, drown in the deep blue sea!
Yippee!
*Jump jump*

To add to the excitement, I've finally sold the 2nd biggest item we have ever bought for our retail business.

This mannequin has been with us through the most glorious days in our retail life and now its in the hands of another for the price of $30.

Quite a discount from what we first paid for it. I called her "Allan's Mistress". 'Cos he hugged her all the way back from Thailand. Sat her on his lap throughout the flight back.

He didn't want to break her pointy nose through international courier service. Seriously, after witnessing how 'they' handle our luggage, you can't blame us for having little faith in them.

Oh my!!! I'm so excited by all these good news, I'm floating!!! Can you feel my joy?! You can right? Say you can!!! Now where's the champagne??!!

*just in case you were wondering, what was the BIGGEST item we bought for our retail business... the Chillers... when I was running my Bubble Tea Business.

Ha!

My friend did the video for me
See my profile picture on my blog's left sidebar?
He replaced ChunLi's face with my photo.

So there you have it, me as ChunLi, FIGHTING!
*huge laugh*
I couldn't find another photo of myself with a not-so-wide-smile...
I think I look like a monster!!!!

Just compare it with the pretty image of ChunLi and you'll have to agree with me that I DO LOOK LIKE A FREAK!
*laugh*

ST701 Property

We have been looking for a new house since 2 years ago. So whenever there is a site where we can search for property in Singapore, you will definitely see us there.

Having a property consultant as a hubby and tools like ST701 Property website just makes the search that much more easier. What we like about this site is the number of photos available whenever we do a search on a house. Picture speaks more than a thousand words.

The information provided at the end result is sufficient enough for us to decide on whether we should give the agent a call.

However we felt that it was a waste that the details of the information could not be incorporated in the search. Instead of just 'For Sale/Rent' and 'District', items like 'Road Name', 'Room Type', 'Model', 'Block' eg. for 500 series, we could type 5xx, etc, so that no time is wasted in looking at adverts that does not match our requirements for Singapore HDB units.

Still, on the whole I would recommend all to use this informative site if you are looking for property in Singapore.

Here comes the Rain again

Pita-pata pita-pata is the sound that hits my window
a rhythm that speaks to my soul.

I love the rain
as much as I love to forget the pain it brings.

Like most dramas,
rain reminds me of a sad moment
a failed relationship
a flashing image of me crying in the corner thinking of someone

Rain is a close friend of mine
a friend who shares my sorrows
a friend who joins me in my tears
a friend who comforts my heart with its song of pita-pata

But ever since Allan came into my life
Rain is a symbol of joy
a reminder of how hardship gives birth to happiness

.....We stood outside our tent
squatting at a corner of the tall building
just to get shelter from the sudden downpour

sharing a cup of coffee, a hot bun,
all we want is for the rain to stop
so that we can start selling again....

those were the days....
doing business in the rain
serving enthusiastic customers who didn't mind carrying an umbrella just to grab an item or two from our little temporary stall made from PVC and metal poles......

Rain to Allan is an excitement
an opportunity to hop into the car
to drive with the wipers swish swoosh on the windscreen at high speed
the heavier the rain
the more Allan would say: "Come, let's go for a drive."
He likes the feeling of "Hah, you can't make me wet"
What a child he is...

Yet to his parents
rain in March is a reminder that 'Qing Ming' is round the corner
a season, a tradition of the Chinese to visit those that have long gone
folding bags of paper money
getting bags of paper shoes, paper clothes, paper TV, paper mobile phone and paper whatever
ready to burn as gifts to their ancestors and parents
whose remains are but ashes

No matter how different Rain is to everyone
one thing stays the same for all
its the best time to snuggle in bed
under the blankets
feeling the cold air brushing across one's face
as he/she snoozes into dreamland

Is rain just another form of water to you?
Is rain just another weather?
Is rain just another stage in the water cycle?
What is rain to you?

Whoo-Hoo!

Allan clinched another deal 2 days ago. Let's hope within these 4 months, when the transaction is in progress, nothing (bad) happens and $ will be safe in our pocket in July.

Keep the $ momentum coming man....

I've got 2 bids for 2 stuff today. They were display items for the earrings and rings I was selling years ago. Because they are so 'seasoned', I had to clear them at such price.
Both items are ending in 3 days time.
Ohhhhh.....*fingers crossed* hope there will be another (higher) bidder for them...

This is a USED item.
There are 2 ways to hang your dangling earrings on this EARRING STAND:
You can either hang them on the strips or poke them into the holes provided.

Studs can be secured in the holes.

I set the starting bid price at S$4.00.

The bidder did not offer a cent more.

So the latest bid price is still at S$4.00.

To satisfy the curiosity of my overseas friends, you can use the currency conversion to check out how much is $4.00 in Singapore equivalent to in your own currency.
Currency Converter

This RING TRAY is another USED item.

It can hold about 35 - 45 rings, depending on the size of the rings.

I have 4 PIECES of this item.

I set the starting bid price at S$2.00.

The bidder did not offer a cent more.

So the latest bid price is still at S$2.00.

The bid price is for ONE piece.

Secondary School Gathering

Aaaawwww.... after 15years, we meet again.
Wanted to have the whole gang of 20+ classmates occupying the tiny little eating place...
but many couldn't come.
What a waste!

It was so fun to meet again after 15years.
Though only 5 (including the noisy me) turned up, our laughter filled the entire place! *laugh*

Yaozong brought photos of us in our nerdy look and silly hairstyles.
Oh my!
We had changed so much after 15years!
It was so fun.
We were cross communicating almost all the time, was there a quiet moment (let me think) hmmmm....NO!!!!
*HUGE LAUGH*

I wanna thank FACEBOOK (no, they are NOT paying me to do this), or else I don't think we will ever find each other again....
And not forgetting Eugene and Weida for suggesting it.

Yaozong will be getting married this October, hence that will be the next huge gathering. (I thought)
But everyone couldn't wait till then and is hoping for another gathering NEXT MONTH!
*laugh*
I think we are addicted to each other!!!

Hey, all of you who didn't turn up today.... hope to see you on the next gathering...
I think I'm going to pass the 'Co-Organiser' job to another person this time....

Though almost 80% can be contactable through Facebook, but to get everyone down on the same day.... I think I still need to polish up my persuasive skills....

So who would like to take up the job for the next gathering???!

Oh Damn! We forgot to take photos before we leave!!!
And Yes, "Thank you Weida for the treat too!" *wink*

Sterling Silver ring with Mother of Pearl

I'll login to my ebay account twice a day.
In the morning and before I sleep.
What I love to see, other than someone bade for my item, is that its been watched.

I am not saying that its true, but it seems that people who watches a product are people who are really interested, yet unwilling to pay anything higher than the starting bid price. So unless no one bade for it, this watcher will bid at the starting price just minutes before the bidding duration is over.

Seriously it doesn't really bother me, so long as he/she eventually buys my stuff.

I've been posting stuff up on ebay regularly... you will never believe how much stuff I have accumulated over the 7 years in retail, and I have ONLY POSTED 10% of what I have up on that $ platform!

So there are still about 90% of stuff to snap photos on, edit and post....
Now, I wish this list will never end.... cos' they are opportunities to earn.... so why would I want it to end. *wink*

This is the newest item that is being WATCHED on my list now: -

925 Sterling Silver ring with (Pink) Mother of Pearl
I have 3 Pieces of this.

Size: 8 (US size) / 17 (asia size)
1 Piece.

Size: 7 (US size) / 15 (asia size)
2 Pieces

Wish me luck, won't ya, that it will be sold. *wink*

TV maddess

I have not been so 'glued' to the TV for a long long time.
But recently, its been getting a little out-of-hand.
I am trying to control and narrowed down to this:

Monday:-

Perfect Cut at 10pm

Tuesday:-
My Dad is Better Than Your Dad at 8.30pm, followed by Perfect Cut at 10pm

Wednesday and Thursday are the worst.
I'm so torn between American Idol, Ninja Warriors and Perfect Cut on Wednesday.
Then Thursday is American Idol results (again), Knight Rider and Perfect Cut.

Wednesday:-
American Idol is shown at 6pm, 8pm and 10pm (3 time slots)
Ninja Warriors is shown at 8pm
Perfect Cut at 10pm

this looks pretty simple eh?
I could watch American Idol at 6pm, Ninja Warriors at 8pm and Perfect Cut at 10pm.

But its not as easy as it seems!!!!
Cos' kids are usually (still) asleep at 6pm, so I could do lots of stuff, stuff that could be done more efficiently without their interruption..
So I would normally miss the American Idol at 6pm.
Then you can tell how chaotic the rest of the schedule would be.

And on Thursday, it's completely a choice between a show I grew up with or the sequel of a show I am addicted to.

Knight Rider is always exciting, which will give me the "Oooh" and the "Ahhh" and I am still trying to find out the 'real' identity of Mike. I don't want to miss any episode that might reveal that secret.
Yet Perfect Cut is such an amazing production. The effects and the skills of the make-up artists in this cosmetic surgery based serial. The dialogues are so deep. It makes you think.

So, on Thursday, you will see me switching between channels, hoping to catch a glimpse from each. I know my luck is down when BOTH are showing commercials. *Arrggghhh*

But something really surprising happened last week. Knight Rider, for the first time, was brought forward to 9pm! Whoo-hoo! I'm not sure if its gonna last, we'll see if heaven would still be kind to me this week. *wink*

This post doesn't mean much, just a rant of how crazy I can get over TV programs at times.

Reminder for Myself

No matter how tough life is, I still must go on, isn't it?
Some close friends think that I have a will power so strong that they can't really phantom.
Many said they would have gone mad or even slit their wrist to have experienced what my mother put me through emotionally.

Maybe I'm blessed.
No, I think I AM.

When things go wrong, I get bitter for a short while, then something good will appear out of no where, like Santa down the chimney to drop me my gift in the red sock while I snore away.
Then I look back and think how faithless I was.
How forgetful can I be that life has been treating me this way since young.
Shouldn't I be immune to this pattern already?

There there, I give myself a pat on my shoulders, stood up and face it with stronger belief that things WILL WORK OUT.
It will.
It would.
It SHOULD.

Each fall builds an even stronger Angeline.
Though with bruises and cuts or even scars for reminders, she learns her mistake faster, she moves forward with quicker steps to make up for the time that was lost when she was sitting there complaining and nursing the pain.
That's how the idea of posting the SOS message in my blogs came about.

Years pass
Wrinkles appear
The falls get heavier by the year
yet the speed of picking up my fallen spirit grew faster
It has always been so and I hope no matter how hard the future falls might be, I'll still stand strong like a dam to an unforgiving rapid river flow.

Today, there was good news, a previous customer decides to buy all my jewelery pouches, which I've been clearing for $0.10 each. Though its less than $17 in total, I'm still grateful and rejoicing in such little help from the Universe.

I shut my mouth from complaining, I login to my ebay account and posted more stuff. There are still sooooooo many hundreds of items leftover from my 7 years of retail business. I must not slack.

Snap snap snap I went, taking photos and listing them on this platform of possibilities, for hope, for success, for survival.

Critical! I Need Your Help!

Ok, this is serious stuff. Its been bottled with a cork stuck on the top, thrown into the sea for about a month now. Yet the current brought it back to shore, right back to my doorstep.

We will be having a very difficult time for the next 4 months. *fingers crossed* This is already looking at the positive side. One of Allan's deal burst this week (read details here).

This deal was suppose to be completed in late February, meaning money in the pocket. But now its gone and the next commission is in June, that is IF THIS JUNE-CASE do NOT BURST TOO!. Yes, this 'June' case is ALSO on the Bubble. *Arrrghhhh*

I don't know how to describe how CRITICAL my situation is now, all I can say is: I'm willing to do ANYTHING at least for the NEXT 4 MONTHS, except to sell my butt, which probably doesn't worth much anyway.

ANYTHING! Even if it means to leave my kids and stay in a office for 12hours.

DO YOU HAVE any news on company needing part-timers or project basis workers for assignments?

I AM DESPERATE, like ants on the frying plate. I am so fidgety right now because I might not be able to pay for my boys' school fees from May onwards. Yes, its that serious. I'm not joking. I'm not even in the mood to joke now.

Every day I have people coming to me with their problems, I'm giving advices and 'counseling' session, if I was a professional counselor and charging with every email or sms, Whoo-hoo, I'll be rich!

Or with the number of readers (not commenters) I have now and each DONATING $1 to me. MY-o-my! It would be enough to pay for my electrical bills!

I HATE IT! I'm so 'up-to-the-wall' that I am even doing reviews which only pay $0.69 for 150 words! How pathetic am I? No, I'm not pathetic, I'm standing at the edge of the cliff with a pair of ice-skating boots! That's how UNSTABLE I am now!

Seriously! DO YOU KNOW OF ANY JOB I CAN JUMP INTO NOW???

DO YOU?! *begging*

Song Sharing Sunday - #8

Song Sharing Sunday Badge

This was the song which brought my Secondary School Teacher, Miss Chan M. L., to tears; when my class sang it to her on Teachers' Day in 1992.

For some reason whatsoever, I couldn't play the MV from Youtube. So for the first time, your visual can't be satisfied today. Sorry. *pout* Ok, ok, its the SONG I'm sharing that matters... *slap* Oh, me and my perfectionist-self.

Goodbye - Air Supply

Goodbye - Air Supply

I can see the pain living in your eyes
And I know how hard you try
You deserve to have much more
I can feel your heart and I sympathize
And I'll never criticize
All you've ever meant to my life

I don't want to let you down
I don't want to lead you on
I don't want to hold you back
From where you might belong

You would never ask me why
My heart is so disguised
I just can't live a lie anymore
I would rather hurt myself
Than to ever make you cry
There's nothing left to say but goodbye

You deserve the chance at the kind of love
I'm not sure I'm worthy of
Losing you is painful to me

I don't want to let you down
I don't want to lead you on
I don't want to hold you back
From where you might belong

You would never ask me why
My heart is so disguised
I just can't live a lie anymore
I would rather hurt myself
Than to ever make you cry
There's nothing left to say but goodbye

You would never ask me why
My heart is so disguised
I just can't live a lie anymore
I would rather hurt myself
Than to ever make you cry
There's nothing left to try
Though it's gonna hurt us both
There's no other way than to say goodbye

Bad Economy hit nearer to home

*Deep Breath*
As much as I try not to talk about how tough life is for those who need money to survive nowadays (Now Who Doesn't?!) , it came knocking nearer to home. *eyes rolled*

My eldest SIL had been given the 'Red Card' this week. She is out of the game now. The game of working for a onced stable company who recently hacked more than half the staff size. Oh well, her retrenchment fee is pretty awesome though. But still, with 3 kids to take care, a house which has a monthly installment double of mine AND the expenses used by my PIL; the burden of a household of 7 people entirely on the shoulders of my eldest BIL. Tough!!!

Remember I mentioned that Allan has cases which were on the bubble? Its been confirmed that one of them had burst. Reason? The buyer of the company had been retrenched too and with the pathetic pay from the new company, the Housing Development Board refused to grant the entire loan amount. With over 90,0000 more to pay in cash, the poor man had no choice but to call off the deal. Which means Allan's potential commission just went 'POP' too. *Sigh*

American Idol Top 13

I have NO idea why did the judges put Tatiana Del Toro through to the Wild Card round?!!!
Her spot could be easily replaced by so many others.
Anyhow, I'm sooooooo glad she is not in the top 12, Ooops! its top 13!!!

What a Twist towards the end.
I was going "What???!!! Anoop Desai is NOT IN?! How could that be?!"

Its so obvious that the judges loved him so much more than Matt Giraud, who was the 12th finalist announced.

Anyway, I love all EXCEPT Megan Corkrey, I think her dancing or moves are weird. Really!!!
But then again, who am I to judge?

Whoo-Hoo! Its up on the BIG STAGE next week! Can't wait!

Bad Mood

Ok, Monday was 'Teerrrrggggrrrrrrr....' and 'Grrrrgggrrrrrr....' and 'Chiiinnnnggggg.....' and 'Dongggggggrrrrrrr...', then for the next three days were "Knock knock, who's there?" and today, its a combination of everything!

To add to my misery, my throat is so painful I can't swallow my saliva.
Could it be the 3 bites on the extra spicy Chili Crab on Monday?
Could it be the excessive amount of dust flying around?
OR both??? *faint*

I'm trying so hard to keep my mind focused, thoughts right and concentrate. But the negative mood just keep increasing with the noise pollution and the dusty air breathed in every minute! Patience is diminshing and smiles are stingy.... I pity my family members.

For the benefit of those who didn't come over from my children's blog:
I'm having a new neighbour soon and before they move in, they decidesdto do a complete makeover to the house. The craziness started on Monday and will last for the next 30days!

To add to my misery, another neighbour decides to add another room to their house, so its another round of 'Teerrrrggggrrrrrrr....' and 'Grrrrgggrrrrrr....' and 'Chiiinnnnggggg.....' and 'Dongggggggrrrrrrr...'!!!!!

I'm hearing DOUBLE NOW!!!

Went to the doctor to check on my throat and why additional cups of water drank doesn't seem to help since Tuesday, infact it turned for the worse.
Came back with Antibiotics and Lozenges. Feeling a little better but far from Feeling Great.

Hmmm.... guess I'll better leave the house now, get some fresh air and leave everything to my bi-weekly Pro to clean up the excessive layer of dust inside these four walls. *eyes rolled*

*forgive me for any grammar mistakes or whatsoever... my mind's not even functioning well with all the noises...

Kose Mask of Love

Kose is NOT paying me to do this.

This is from my 'lobang queen', my sis.

Kose is giving away a free mask sample.
Go here to fill in your particulars.
Thereafter, they will require you to print out an acknowledgment slip (that pops up).
Bring that piece of paper down to any Kose Branches listed on the slip to collect your free Face Mask.

*lobang ~ originate from the dialect Hokkien: A good source or good recommendation.

*5 march, went down to the counter at IMM and came back empty-handed. Stock-lasted. Not sure about other branches... what luck!

Jumbo Seafood Restaurant

If you had hopped over from my Children's Blog, you would know that we had one of THE BEST dinner ever yesterday as a family of 5.

I didn't want to add my feedback to that post 'cos I didn't want it to be too draggy. The talkative me just have too much to say.

The Restaurant: -
We went to the branch at Dempsey Hill. Awesome place. Fantastic Ambiance . Because it is a new location, everything looked so welcoming, even the toilets. *laugh*

What makes a place extra memorable is never the look but the service. It was an A1 class service. That is how I would rate it. Coming from a service personnel background, I was given special training on 'what service is supposed to be like'. Jumbo's staff lived up to THAT standard.

Other than being attentive, friendly, courteous and professional, they were easily 'available' when you needed them. Ever been to a restaurant where you need to raise your hands and stretch your neck with eyes busy scanning the entire place for someone, just to pass you a new pair of chopsticks???

You'll never get a chance to experience that in Jumbo at Dempsey Hill. I need to make a special mention on the branch because what happens in one place does not necessary mean it would be the same in another, even though it under the same 'family'. Agree?

Now, The Food: -

Crispy Baby Squid:-

Its nice. Nothing about it made me go "Wow". Hmmm... probably because I didn't have too much expectation on this dish. If I did, then this would be a disappointment.

Boiled Live Prawns: -

So fresh! You can taste the freshness with every bite. No additional flavouring was added (I think). Just the sweetness of prawn. For a prawn fanatic like me, its a thumb-up!

Deep Fried Red Tilapia:-

This was a pleasant suprise. We were not fast enough with our camera to capture the way the fish was presented. All I can say was, it looked like it was dancing! *laugh*

The nice waitress cut it up into smaller pieces for convenient-eating.

First taste of the sauce was pretty spicy, yet it was so tempting, you can't stop at one scoop. Mmmmmm......

Jumbo Chili Crab:-

From the name, you can tell that its one of the RECOMMENDED. Whenever we eat chili crab, 'Man-Tou' or steamed/fried bun is a must!

Because of my tongue conditions, this was way too spicy for me. A bite set my tongue on fire and sent 3 cups of 'Pu-er' tea down my throat.

In the end, I could only managed 3 tiny bites. What a waste! Allan and my sis settled the entire pot. But the 'Man-Tou' was yummy even on its own.

Jumbo Black Pepper Crab:-

THIS WAS OUR FAVOURITE!!!!
Other than the springy flesh, the spicy black pepper wasn't way over the top!

I love this kind of black pepper crab. I call it the 'dry-kind', not the gravy sort. The fragrance of the black pepper was soaked up completely by the flesh.

I have seen others where the black pepper is only on the shell and not the 'inside'. *pout*

But This was absolutely fantastic! A Must HAVE on your table!

So if you have the intention to visit Jumbo, try the one at Dempsey Hill, where all your 5 senses will be satisfied. *smile*

Ligthning Striked the Merlion

The Singapore Merlion was struck by lightning on Saturday, 28 February 2009. Its under repair now.

I thought I was the only one who hated February 09.
Guessed the Merlion shared my sentiments too.

The hot topics nowadays are how bad the economy is, the massive cut in staff, in bonuses, in salary... Here I am refusing to talk about this gloomy issue.

To say we are NOT affected completely is not true. 'Cos the banks have become more stringent on their borrower's requirements, hence buyers for houses are facing more difficulties than in the past.
No no no, we are NOT buying a house yet. We still haven't found the right one after that house, which we completely could not afford.

Allan is a property consultant, so with such tight rules on the borrowers, it indirectly affects the number of deals he can clinch. However, if a person NEEDS to buy a house, the person NEEDS to buy it, no matter what.... so we are not worrying too much.

Now that the 36—year—old tourism icon at the mouth of the Singapore River had such mishap, could it be a bad omen for Singapore's Economy?

Its very obvious that the care-takers of this country are pretty fengshui-oriented too. If not, they would not have shifted the Merlion's position in May 2008.

*Picture shows the debris from parts of the statue’s head which fell off after the lightning struck.

Temporary barricades around the 8.6m statue have been erected for safety reasons, barring it from tourists. I'm so glad we managed to get good shots before this happened.

Allan: "Maybe they didn't put a lightning rod on the Merlion."

Me: "I think the Merlion was meant to be a male. If there's a lightning rod on top of it, it would look like a 'hair-pin' and that would make 'him' become a 'her'!"

*laugh*
